Anemone Marble


This large Anemone glass marble is inspired by the sea anemones off the Northern California Coast. This marble is created by bundling rods of glass and then stretching and cutting them into short sections. These sections are then bundled together to form the center of the anemone. This process of bundling rods of glass together to form interesting patterns is called murrine. I group several murrine together, then gather a layer of clear glass to make the marble optical and appear as though the Anemone is encased in a layer of water. The marble
